    Positive This ryokan was a perfect getaway. The attention to detail for the space was truly stunning. The host was so welcoming and accommodating during our stay. We enjoyed the charm of the town and the peacefulness of it all. The hinoki bath was especially a standout. We would love to come back!

    Positive Akitsu is located in a lovely low key village 3km from a beautiful post town on the Nakasendo Trail. We were able to ride pushbikes into the town and we were lucky to be there during their wood carving festival. Akitsu is beautifully styled. The bath is wonderful and has a relaxing smell of wood.
