Positive I really like the guest house experience, which sets it apart from cheap hotels and apartments. As a solo traveler, I was welcomed and introduced to Kesennuma warmly. I will come back if I’m in the area!

Positive I stayed here as a base for exploring the Sanriku coast. It was only a short walk to the nearest station, with a couple of conbini on the way for supplies. I recommend renting a bicycle from near the main station to explore the town. All the staff were super friendly, and the shared areas were great for chatting to others or relaxing in.

Positive Everything! Super friendly Hokkaidi (haha) lady at the check-in, who showed me around the guesthouse after I checked in. She shared about some of the history of Kesennuma and her love of the area, which was so wonderful to hear about. The dormitory was very warm and the mattress was super comfortable, I had such a good night’s sleep here. Really nice shared
