Positive Location right by Kakunodate station. While some distance away from the historic town, if you are there to take the Akita Nairiku train or go to Tazawako/Nyuto Onsen it is very convenient. Trains are slow entering the station so low noise level. Rooms are spacious and clean. The common area is very good and useful. Room cleaning was great also.

Positive This hotel is right next door to the railway station so very very handy. We thought there might be some train noise but there was no disturbance at all. The staff were helpful and there is an onsite restaurant where we ate on one of our nights. The food was good and saved us heading out in the rain. The samurai houses are an easy 15-20min walk away.

Positive - Fantastic location, literally attached to Kakunodate station. - Rooms are clean, quiet, and very comfortable. - Staff are kind and helpful - Onsite laundry is convenient. - The attached restaurant is a great option for tired travelers looking for dinner. - Breakfast is good
