Positive Such a gem of a ryokan! Felt like we stepped back in time. You can feel the history in this place. We were spoiled in our spacious room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard garden and a generous living area. The automatic toilet was a unique experience in itself. We were served the best breakfast of our trip! The location was a bit of a trek from Kyoto (

Positive Beautifully restored traditional machiya. We stayed in a comfortable 2 twin futon room with a small service area with a sink and fridge. The hospitality was out of this world and the breakfast delicious! We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer.
