    Positive A nice 6 story hotel atop a hill, far enough for some peace and quiet but not too far from sightseeing starting points. Friendly staff. Clean well designed rooms. Delicious breakfast! Make sure to book both breakfast and dinner aa the place as there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby. Taxi cab to/from Hiraizumi Station is about 1800JPY - 12USD.

    Positive Itsumu was a wonderful blend of traditional ryokan and modern hotel. Our room was a beautiful, pristine tatami mat style with comfortable futon beds. Dinner was excellent and beautifully presented, as was breakfast. They even provided my five year old daughter with beautiful meals designed to appeal to children.     Positive The staff is super cute and very friendly, they really made every effort to make us happy. Seems to be a recently renovated building with brand new rooms, furniture and facilities. I would say the Interiors are rather this clean, puritan modern European style ,than this typicalJapanese 80-ish style the latter of which I am not a big fan of (European here)..
