Positive This was my first experience staying in a ryokan ever, and I loved it!This was my first time staying in a ryokan—and I absolutely loved it! The staff were very friendly and communicative. We overcame the language barrier easily with the help of Google Translate, and everything went smoothly. My room and the shared bathroom were both spacious and very clean.

Positive I arrived at sunset after a long walk- 18+ miles. Discovered I had made a hash of the booking and was not expected. My host graciously made a room up for me. I spent the following day sightseeing and returned to a warm welcome- it helps if a guest leaves their room tidy.
