    Positive Food was good, and the staff friendly and helpful. Service was efficient without being intrusive. Bottled water provided in the room and good quality tea and coffee.

    Positive Breakfast was served in a separate dining area. There was a good choice of 'continental' options and cooked food. The eggs 'royales' were magnificent. The dinner was of a high standard, especially since it was Sunday evening. This is a genuine good, affordable, country pub where it was a pleasure to stay. The staff are young motivated people.

    Positive The inn is an old coaching house and has all the quaintness you could ask for. We were able to park on-site very easily and there is additional parking a short stroll away. The bedroom was comfortable and cosy with the biggest, softest towels I think I have ever had in an hotel. We had travelled with friends and were situated next door to one another as requ
