    Positive The location, the food and the very laid-back vibe. No frills. TV in the room, just an amazing view to look at - the stars at night were just as impressive as the mountains! The menu might be considered limited to some, but the food was amazing with daily specials and was impossibly good value.

If you can book a single occupancy room off peak you have one of the best value deals in Britain, surrounded by some of the finest scenery. The breakfasts are to die for (not literally). Old fashioned (no TV or, in many cases no mobile signal) - but who cares in such a beautifully atmospheric place? Ask for the
