    Positive Stayed as a stop over for cycling the King Alfred way between Winchester and Reading. We just wanted a bed, breakfast and a bathroom for the night with somewhere to secure our bike that wasnt too expensive. This filled the requirements exactly. A band was playing till quite late on Sat night but we didnt mind as they were so good and we were so tired we fell

    Positive I stayed at the Lion Brewery overnight. Mike was very friendly and helpful, a really nice guy. The accommodation is basic but absolutely fine. The bar area is really nice, very homely with lots of photos of previous events held there over the years. There is plenty of free parking right outside. I would definitely stay there again.

    Positive Fantastic small English pub with a wonderful Landlord and staff. Brilliant live music and a delicious home cooked breakfast.
