    Positive Amazing bar downstairs with exceptionally friendly and welcoming people. The breakfast for £5 extra during the booking was one of the best I've ever had in a Bed and Breakfast. Absolutely lovely stay, absolutely made my week!

    Positive This was our second time staying at The Shoes. It's a lovely place, and the rooms are spacious and well appointed.

    Positive The breakfast was excellent and if you wish to go into the city buses run every 20-30 mins with a bus stop a few yards up from the pub. Staff was very friendly and the one on duty when I booked in even pre-booked me a taxi for my reunion later that evening. I would certainly use again on a visit to Durham.
