Positive Such a lovely stay with a lovely family! And you do feel like family when you arrive. Aside from that, the rooms are comfortable (if a bit dated), the location is fantastic, and there is plenty of parking.

Positive This was our second time staying at Shimaya. The hotel is owned and run by the cutest couple ever. They speak enough english to get by and want to make sure that your stay in Yudanaka is perfect. They have lots of recommendations and go out of their way to make the stay lovely. They even drove us to the monkey park!

Positive Very close (1 mile) to the snow monkey park. Breakfast was very good. The owners running the hotel were super nice and accommodating. Very close to the snow monkey park, the hotel can drive you there. It is nice to walk back through the old town the hotel is in to experience the local vibe.
