Positive We loved our stay here. This was our most unique stay so far. We loved the town, skiing, onsens and the hotel. I was not overly excited about not having an ensuite, but it was actually fine. I already miss Nozawa and will absolutely go back here if I ever find myself back in Japan!

Positive Yamane is very close tot the village center and restaurants. There is a shuttle bus to gondola, although we went on foot every morning. It is 1 km uphill walk, so works well as a warm up for skiing. We rented skis right next to the gondola and left gear there overnight which was very convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Roo.s were typical traditional Japanes
